Times Higher Education has announced its partnership with the India Business Group (IBG) for the India Universities Forum 2023, which will be hosted at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Odisha on 23 February. Led by its chairman, Lord Patel of Bradford OBE and comprising a team of specialist consultants, business analysts and researchers across UK and India, IBG provides expertise, market intelligence and connections to help organisations form successful global collaborations.
The founder and chief executive officer of IBG, Amarjit Singh, said, "We're absolutely delighted to commence our strategic collaboration with THE as a content partner for the upcoming India Universities Forum 2023, an important event engaging key stakeholders to review and enhance learning landscapes, unlock new models of innovation and develop sustainable global partnerships. As India commences the G20 presidency this month, there is significant scope for forward thinking universities and other higher education institutions to learn and collaborate with a careful reflection of the current and looming global challenges, while accelerating sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
“As the world’s largest democracy and the second most populous nation in the world that is predicted to be in the top three global economies by 2030, India is rapidly becoming a major global economic powerhouse. There are tremendous opportunities for global and Indian universities to work together for shared prosperity, including institutional partnerships, bilateral mobility, dual degree programmes, transnational education linkages, cutting edge world-class research, development and industry collaborations.”
Phil Baty, chief knowledge officer at Times Higher Education, said, “The THE India Universities Forum is an important event in THE’s annual calendar, designed to support the sector to overcome its challenges and fulfil its extraordinary potential. We are excited to be gathering sector leaders from across the country for the first in-person gathering since early 2020 to explore the future and to collaborate for success, so IBG is a great partner for THE to be collaborating with to help ensure the event has maximum impact in supporting the sector and a strong legacy of meaningful outcomes.”
This will be the first in-person THE flagship event for India in three years – you can register for the India Universities Forum 2023 here.
